Booking viewings

I am in the process of not only moving house but also county. I have tenants lined up to move into my property at the end of June so I am actively looking for somewhere new to live.

Like all serious viewers should, I have booked an entire day off work in order to view houses. As a Letting Agent myself, I offer viewings from 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, plus 10am to 4pm on a Saturday, but some ‘serious’ viewers claim that they cannot make any of those times! I am up against time trying to find my new home and, let me tell you; if you are serious about viewing a property you free yourself up.

While booking viewings I have come across the good, the bad, and possibly the ugly agents (I will let you know which is which following my viewings). Unbelievably, I have only come across one agent who took the time to take all of my personal details and requirements but also e-mailed across confirmation of my appointment, with the time & full address. Each time I have called about a property which is no longer available I have never been quizzed on my requirements in case they have anything else in which might suit my needs! If I was a landlord advertising a similar property with these agencies I would be tearing my hair out.

If you are a landlord with an empty property being advertised, give your Letting Agent a quick cold call. You will find out first-hand how your property is being ‘sold’ to potential tenants & might quickly discover why your property has been empty for so long.

May the force be with you,
